N U 20 25 30 35 2 is taken care of by the user in an extremely user-friendly manner. Yet another object of the present invention is that the lid is stackable, i.e. a plurality of lids can be stacked in each other to thereby minimize the space that the lids take up.
Brief Description of the Drawings Hereinafter, a preferred embodiment of the invention will be described with reference to the accompanying drawings, in which: Fig. 1 shows a first perspective view obliquely from above of a lid according to the present invention; Fig. 2 shows a second perspective view obliquely from above of a lid according to the present invention; Fig. 3 shows a perspective view obliquely from below of a lid according to the present invention; Figs. 4A-4D show different views of a closing member included in the lid according to the present invention; and Figs. 5A-5D show different views showing how the closure member is received in a container of the lid according to the present invention.
Detailed Description of a Preferred Embodiment of the Invention Hereinafter, brewing of tea by the lid of the present invention will be described. As pointed out above, the lid of the present invention is in no way limited to be used only in the brewing of tea, but the lid can also be used in the preparation of other beverages.
The lid according to the present invention comprises a cover part 1, which has a shape corresponding to the opening of the mug to be applied. The cover part 1 is normally circular in plan view. (not shown) as the lid according to the present invention According to the embodiment shown, the cover part 1 is provided with a sunken central portion 3. In an outer part of the cover part 1 a first hole 4 is accommodated, through which the user drinks the beverage contained in the mug. The lid also comprises an edge portion 5 integrated with the cover part 1 which generally extends downwards from the cover part 1. The edge portion 5 is intended to cooperate with the upper open edge of a mug (not shown), whereby the edge portion 5 can be brought in releasable engagement with the edge of the cup surrounding the opening of the cup.
The lid according to the present invention also comprises a container 7 for tea in bulk, to the underside of the cover part and defines an opening 9 in which the container 7 is connected to the cover part. Tea in bulk is filled through the opening 9 in the cover part. In general, the container 7 is in the form of a dimensionally stable "finger" hanging down from the cover part 1. According to the embodiment shown, the container 7 comprises a flat portion 10 and a cross-section U-shaped portion 11 which is connected to the flat portion 10. the flat portion 10 has a perforation in the form of second holes 12 and according to the embodiment shown, the second holes 12 are substantially evenly distributed over the flat portion 10, however, an area of the flat portion located closest to the free end of the container 7 may lack holes. .
In the transition between the longitudinal edges of the flat portion 10 and the U-shaped portion 11, longitudinal axes 13 are arranged which extend parallel to the flat portion 10.
These are thus two ridges 13 which are opposite each other and extend into the interior of the container 7. Between the ridges 13 and the flat portion 10, guides are defined. In the embodiment shown, the flat portion 10 tapers in the direction of This is important partly for the stackability of the lid according to the present invention the free end of the container 7. partly for the weight distribution of the lid when the container is filled with tea in bulk.
The lid of the present invention also includes a platform closure member 15, wherein a number of views of 4A-4D. 4A-4D, the closure member 15 comprises one in the closure member 15 shown in Fig. As shown in Fig. The use position lower portion 16 and one in the use position upper portion 17, these portions being interconnected by means of a folding guide 18. The lower portion 16 is tight, i.e. . it does not show any perforations. The upper portion 17 is provided with an ear 19 on the part facing away from the fold guide 18.
Fig. 4D shows how the upper portion 17 can be folded relative to the lower portion 16. From Fig. 1 it can be seen that the lower portion 16 has a tapered shape towards its free end which is adapted to the tapered shape. at the flat portion 10 of the container 7.
When brewing tea by means of the lid according to the present invention, the desired amount of tea in bulk is supplied to Then hot water is kept in the mug and the lid according to the present invention is mounted on the container 7 through the opening 9. the free edge of the mug which is preferably a disposable mug.
Brewing of tea will now take place by the supplied hot water coming into contact with the tea in the container 7 via the other holes 12. When brewing of the tea is to cease, this is done by using the closing means 15. Reference is made to Figs. 5A-5D.
In Figs. 5A-5D it is shown schematically how the closing member 15 cooperates with the container 7 of the lid according to the present 5A-5C. By studying Fig. Which is defined between the ridges 13 and the flat portion 10. When the lower portion 16 is completely occupied in the container 7, the other holes 12 will be closed, whereby the brewing of the tea ceases. In this context, it should be noted that the lower portion 16 is tight. After the lower part 16 is completely accommodated in the container 7, the upper part 17 of the closing member 15 can be folded down to a position where it covers the opening 9 of the container 7. It is understood that the upper part 17 should have a shape corresponding to the shape at the opening 9.
The user can now drink tea through the first hole 4 of the lid according to the present invention.
In the exemplary description above, tea in bulk is used. Of course, the lid according to the present invention can also be used together with tea or powder which is packaged. It is conceivable, for example, for a tea bag to be placed in the container 7, after which hot water is supplied to the container 7 via the opening 9.
The lid according to the present invention, wherein also the closing member is included in the lid, is preferably made of a suitable plastic material. The closing member 10 U 20 5 can function as a spoon for stirring various additives, for example milk, sugar etc ..
It should also be noted that the use of the lid according to the present invention generates less garbage than in normal brewing of tea by means of a tea bag.
Possible modifications of the invention In the above-described embodiment of the container 7, a flat portion 10 is provided with a perforation in the form of holes 12. However, within the scope of the present invention it is conceivable that another portion of the container is perforated, e.g. the U-shaped portion in cross section. However, in that case the closure means must be adapted to the shape of the perforated portion. If a U-shaped portion is perforated in cross section, the closing member must also have a U-shaped cross section.
